420: The Musical is a (pun intended) grass roots theatrical production and annual tradition made possible by the collaboration of the following individuals:
The idea for 420: The Musical show came to Kehoe in 2011 when he realized he had no discernible plans for 4/20, so he decided to write a musical. From 2012-2016, he has produced the show 4 times, directed 5 separate productions of 420, designed and constructed the set from 2012-2015, and has performed in the roles of "The Mighty High" and "Bill / Hork". Despite the current political controversy that surrounds marijuana legalization, Kehoe reminds us that 420: The Musical is intended to be a light-hearted comedy to entertain audiences whether they're high or not. With the all-inclusive spirit in mind, this show has been able to reach stoner and non-smokers alike.
Lonski auditioned for the show in 2011, not knowing she would compose the music. She performed in the role of "Becki/Bic" from 2012-2013 and served as music director for every Buffalo show from 2012-2015. She first produced the show in Buffalo in 2014, as part of Buffalo Infringement Festival, and again in 2015 at Milkie's on Elmwood. After re-locating to New York City, she produced the show at the The Secret Theatre in Queens. She served as musical director for the show's first off-Broadway run at Theatre 80 in New York and for the show's first appearance at the 2016 NYC Cannabis Parade stage in Union Square. In 2017, Lonski produced the annual show and first ever 420 Xmas special at the Kraine Theater. Both shows were sold out.
Nic Marrone is a Georgia native and proudly calls NYC home. He earned his MFA from the New School for Drama, and 420 The Musical '17 was his NYC directing debut. He is honored to have worked on a project that continually gives back as much love, joy, and weed-magic as is poured into it. He'd like to honor Laura, Theresa and Rocco who are constantly inspiring him to work, play and create harder, and of course- many thanks to the incredible, supportive audiences. Be well, and much love. firstname.lastname@example.org
